What could help make a better care-break than an evening dinner with Grammy-award winner and singer Patti Austin, plus $250 as a gift or to cover extra expenses? Enter your favorite caregiving story by November 11 for a chance to win. Find out more.
CHICAGO /PRNewswire/ — Two individuals will cap off their day at the First Annual National Caregiving Conference in a very special way: They’ll have dinner with Grammy-award winner and singer Patti Austin. Individuals who care for a family member with an illness, disease or disability (family caregivers) will convene for the First Annual National Caregiving Conference on December 2 and 3 in Chicago.
In addition to dinner with Austin, the two winners each will receive a $250 Visa gift card donated by Right at Home, a leader in the home care industry offering a variety of in-home care services to seniors and disabled adults. The winners can use their gift cards to hire care for their family member with a chronic illness or disability so they can enjoy a day and night off.
To enter for a chance to win dinner with Austin and the gift card, family caregivers need to post their photos and share their caregiving story on social media with the hashtag #pattincc16. The contest begins November 3 and ends November 11. Two winners will be announced on November 12.
Austin will close out the First Annual National Caregiving Conference with a serenade of “Lean on Me.” Austin cared for her mother, who had a stroke in 2001, for five years. Because of her caregiving experience, Austin wants to give back in order to help family caregivers.
Austin’s appearance is sponsored by Guardian Halo, a San Francisco based startup developing community and technology services to help reduce the burden and stress for family caregivers.
“We are proud to support CareGiving.com at the First Annual National Caregivers Conference by sponsoring Grammy-award winner Patti Austin at this event,” said David Chan, CEO of Guardian Halo. “We all have a common goal to provide much needed help and resources for beleaguered caregivers across the globe.”
“We’re grateful to be able to create a memorable event for two very deserving family caregivers,” added Brandon Howell, Marketing Associate, Right at Home.
The cost for family members and former family caregivers to attend the all-day conference on December 3 is $20. Our sponsors, including Eli Lilly, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, Seniorlink, Right at Home, CareZips®, Great Lakes Clinical Trials, eCareDiary and BrightStar Care, make it possible to keep registration costs as low as possible.
